Kidnapped LG boss, female doctor freed in Rivers

Abducted Chairman of the Ahoada East Local Government Area, Rivers State, Mr. Cassidy Ikegbidi and a female medical doctor, Dr. Uju Onatai, have regained their freedom.
Cassidy was released yesterday morning, while Onatai was freed in the evening.

The council boss was reportedly kidnapped in his area by gunmen in military uniform a fortnight ago.
A source, who confirmed his release, said no ransom was paid to his abductors, adding that he was receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital...post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com
Dr. Onatai, who works as a physiotherapist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), was said to have bullet wound on one of her legs.
The mother of two was kidnapped on April 26 at about 7.30p.m. in front of her house along East West Road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
A family source confirmed her release and the bullet wound, but could not state under what circumstances she was released.
