The funeral activities for late Senator Uche Chukwumerije will
officially kick off May 20 with a valedictory service in the Senate.
This will be followed by a Night of Tributes, which will hold on the
same day at 6p.m. at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotels in
Abuja.
Thereafter, Chikwumerije’s remains will depart Abuja for Enugu and
later, his hometown, Isuochi, in Abia State, where he will lie
in-state at 2p.m.He will be buried on Friday, May 22.
Giving the burial details at a press conference in Abuja yesterday,
his first son, Che Chidi Chukwumerije, said the family has been
overwhelmed by the “constant in-flow of tributes and testimonies,” which
he described as a “clear affirmation of the man and the marks he left

and support for Taekwondo, tennis, jogging, his deep devotion to Jesus
