INTERNATIONAL youth soccer facilitating outfit,
Serahana Sports Management has given a part on the back to Golden
Eaglets captain, Kelechi Nwakali who on Sunday led the team to clinch
Nigeria’s fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title.
Serahana Sports expressed delight over the fact that Nwakali’s rise
to stardom started two years back at the IberCup in Estoril, Portugal
where he (Nwakali) was the captain of the Emmanuel Amuneke Academy that
won the international youth tournament.
Serahana’s spokesman, Godson Abba Ekadi said his outfit was happy
Nwakali is a product of its event. “Serahana Sports is the official
Africa partner of the organizers of the IberCup and in 2013, we packaged
the participation of Emmanuel Amuneke Soccer Academy in the tournament.
Today, we are happy that Nwakali who was the captain of the Amuneke
Academy that won the IberCup in 2013 has gone ahead to lead Nigeria to a
historic victory in Chile. This is one of the dividends of
participating in such international youth soccer tournaments,” Godson
Ekadi said.
Ekadi said another product of the IberCup 2013, Benedict Chepeshi,
had also broken into the senior Zambian national team and was in action
for Chipolopolo when Zambia played Botswana in a recent CHAN 2016
qualifier. He was equally full of praise for the Eaglets handler,
Amuneke, for building a solid side that succeeded in defending the FIFA
U-17 World Cup.
“Amuneke has shown that he is a good tactician and we will keep working closely with him,” Godson said.
