It was a bloody situation at Ovwian Community, popularly known as the headquarters of cultists, as several persons were severely wounded. Sources said the incident, which occurred at Sam Warri, claimed the life of an undergraduate, even as the area is presently under siege. Meanwhile, not less than 30 suspected cultists were apprehended during a raid by the police at Orhunwhorun and DSC Township.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com.. The police team led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) “B” Division Warri, Superintendent Anietie Eyoh raided bad spots where the hardened criminals were rounded up. However, Eyoh decried a situation where some hardened cultists arrested and charged to court were freed by the court and allowed to walk freely. According to him, “the cultists charged to court were interrogated and confessed to be cultists. “I am surprised that some of these hoodlums, having been charged to court are freed and are back to the streets to continue their evil deeds,” lamented Superintendent Eyoh. He cited a situation whereby the freed cultists came to the police station to announce their freedom and threatened his officers.
