Adeniji Tunde tested Daniel Akpeyi, in goal for Warri Wolves, as early as the second minute Akpeyi reacted well with a brilliant save.
Wolves’ Azeez Abu missed the chance to put his side in front in two minutes later when he shot wide from close range. Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, popularly known as Mosquito, shot Wolves into the lead in the10th minute after a beautiful interchange with two of his teammates inside Sunshine’s vital area.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com..Akpeyi denied Sunshine the opportunity to draw level when he intercepted Dele Olorundare’s flick in the 20th minute. Mosquito threatened again in the 29th minute but his effort was deflected by a Sunshine player and the ball hit the woodwork and bounced back into the field of play.
Stephen Eze, however, restored Sunshine to parity in the 32nd minute when he rose above Wolves defenders to nod home off a corner kick to leave scores at 1-1 at half time.
Sunshine came into the second half looking for the winning goal but Akpeyi was at his best as he dived, punched and parried the ball to frustrate the host team.
Kingsley Udoh ensured three points for Sunshine as he nodded home off a stoppage time corner kick.
