A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Apapa, Lagos, Mike
Egbayelo, has said 1993 and 2015 are two remarkable years in the
history of the country as the people’s choice of leadership counted.
Egbayelo said just like the people voted in 1993 for the late
business mogul, Chief MKO Abiola, the people also voted for the APC
candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. “These two elections are very similar.
People’s votes counted. Abiola was the people’s choice in 1993.
Buhari
is the people’s choice in 2015. The elections had nothing to do with
religion, tribe or region. If Abiola had been allowed to rule, Nigeria
would have been a better place by now. But all hope is not lost because
Buhari will change the country for good. The people have hope in him and
the country will truly change,” he said...post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com
The founder of The Mike Egbayelo Foundation, who said all hands must
be on deck to move Nigeria forward, added that the choice of Akinwumi
Ambode as governor-elect of Lagos State was a good decision.
“For the first time in 16 years, Lagos will no longer be in the
opposition. APC is now at the federal level. The state has lost so much
in the hands of the PDP-led government for 16 years. Only a wise man
would know that voting against the APC in Lagos is another long years of
being in the opposition. The good people of Lagos are wiser. Just like
Buhari, Ambode’s votes had nothing to do with tribe, religion or zone.
Lagosians are wiser now.
“Lagosians too want to know how it feels to be in charge at the federal level,” he said.
