Expdonaloaded News; Mourinho shoots down Isreali jets

BIG relief! This was what embattled Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, got last night as his side went goalwire beating Isreali side Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 in the UEFA Champions league group G tie at Stamford Bridge.Jose Mourinho must have feared he was set for another round of embarrassment when Eden Hazard skied a spot kick, but soon after Willian’s attempted cross found the back of the net and Oscar replaced his Belgian team-mate for penalty duties to double the lead.

Substitute striker Diego Costa scored a coolly-controlled volley and central midfielder Cesc Fabregas slotted home a rebound in the second half to put the result beyond any doubt, registering Chelsea’s first clean sheet of 2015-16 in the process.
While Chelsea got things right, Arsenal failed to find its rhythm away in Zagreb losing 1-2 to lowly rated Yugoslavian side Dinamo Zagreb. Arsenal went two goals down before managing to pull one back late in the game courtesy of Theo Wallcott’s 79th minute effort. The game was one in which Oxlade Chamberlain scored an own goal, while Olivier Giroud was red carded.
Defending champion, Barcelona was forced to a 1-1 draw in Rome against Roma in a Group E game, while Bayern recorded an emphatic 3-0 away victory over Olympiakos.
