Two former governors of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and Ogbonnaya Onu,
former Senate leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba(SAN) yesterday joined other
sympathisers in eulogising late Dr. Roland Ibeakolam Nwaogu, husband of
Senator Nkechi Nwaogu at the Basilica Grace Church, Anglican Communion
in Abuja.
The service of songs for late Nwaogu also had in attendance serving and
former high profile government officials, who joined family and friends
of the deceased in paying their last respect.
In his sermon, officiating priest, Venerable Festus Nwalili, urged the
deceased’s family members to take solace in God’s promise that He will
never leave, nor forsake them.
He said late Nwaogu lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation and
therefore, urged the bereaved family to carry on with his good works.
Nwalili said “when a man dies, only his good deeds will be remembered
and that everyone should strive to leave a good mark before leaving this
world.
The clergy equally urged the congregation to re-dedicate their lives and
strive to preserve their souls. He said earthly wealth, though
important, was not enough to sacrifice the glory of eternity for.

wife of former Senate president, Mrs. Helen David Mark and Senator
Nenadi Usman.
Others were former Labour Minister, Emeka Nwaogu, wife of deputy Senate
president, Mrs Nwanneka Ekweremadu, Senator Magnus Abe, Sam Nkiri,
