Ubah, while faulting media reports that both coaches left in a bid to save themselves from further risks of dangerous night trips said the coaches were being economical with the truth.
He said “I don’t know what Amokachi and Shorunmu are talking about. They are only being unfair to the team. Get one thing clear, our leaving for home after a game had nothing to do with result. We won in Enugu and left for Nnewi immediately after the game. As far as I’m concerned both Amokachi and Shorunmu are on AWOL because they left without a word. Even if they are quitting, they need to do the needful which is tender their resignation. I wouldn’t want to join issues with them, so lets leave it at that,” Ubah stated.
Ubah said there was no crisis in the club as John Obuh is fully in charge, even as he assured that the club will bounce back to reckoning in the league in the weeks ahead.
The club will this weekend play host to defending league champions, Kano Pillars in one of the star matches of week 30.
