Speaking yesterday at his post-inauguration church thanksgiving held at the Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, the governor said he had no regret working with the immediate-past president, adding that Nigerians would, in future, appreciate Jonathan for his sacrifice for the nation.
He said: “I have no regret working with Jonathan. You must be loyal to the person you work with. Jonathan is a good man.”
Governor Wike said he would swear in the acting State Chief Judge, Justice Daisy Okocha, and the acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Christy Gabriel-Nwankwo, today.
Also, he stated that courts in the state and the House of Assembly would be opened today, to make the state functional again.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com..Wike, while dedicating his victory at the 2015 gubernatorial election to God, said he left former Governor Chibuike Amaechi, because of, “irreconcilable differences.”“For record purpose, God uses people to help people. In this state, we cannot say we do not know the happenings. For the past two to three years, I left, when there were irreconcilable differences,” he said.Earlier in his homily, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, advised the governor to select technocrats, as cabinet members to enable them offer their wealth of experience to develop the state.
He also urged Wike to focus on developing the state and the citizens, cautioning him against the consequences of amassing wealth at the detriment of the people.
The cleric expressed optimism that, the thanksgiving would bring development to the state and advised the governor to beware of sycophants.
