The families described as needless, the ongoing tussle for the Ogoga traditional stool in the kingdom, describing the selection of Adu by some kingmakers as a flagrant breach of trust and tradition of the town.
The families, comprising Ogbenuote and Agabaola princes and princesses, maintained that Adu’s emergence was against the state chieftaincy law and their tradition, which places high premium on Ifa consultation to select an oba.
