2015:Group tasks INEC over credible election

INEC-Attahiru-JegaThe Centre for Democratic Governance In Africa (CDGA) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the 2015 general elections are free, fair and better than previous ones.
   


The appeal was made by the Director General of the group, Dr. Dafe Akpocha while addressing newsmen in Lagos. Nigerians, he said, “would not accept any election that is not transparent, adding that one-man-one-vote is what will enable democracy to grow.
Dr. Akpocha also  warned those threatening that Nigeria would be ungovernable if they don’t win to know that whoever sows wind will reap whirlwind, adding that those politicians are only proving that they don’t love the people and the nation.
He also disclosed the plan of the NGO to give the CDGA Gold Service Award to the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) national Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Wada, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, Chief Olabode George, Skye Bank Chairman, Dr. Tunde Ayeni, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Fidelity Bank, among others.
