NIGERIA Super Eagles will today hit Lobamba,
Swaziland ahead tomorrow’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the
Sihlangu Semnikati of Swaziland.The delegation will fly aboard an Arik Air Boeing 737-800 chartered
flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja and is
expected to touch down at the Matsapha International Airport by 2pm in
the afternoon.
Already the Swaziland Football Association officials had assured that the landing permit for the Eagles flight had been secured.
The Players, technical crew and other members of the Nigerian
Football Federation (NFF) would be lodged at the Sun Hotels. It is
expected that the Super Eagles will train at the Somhlolo National
Stadium , Lobamba by 7pm today.
Meanwhile, all eyes would be on Seattle Sounders Eagles returnee,
Obafemi Martins and the new kid on the block, Kelechi Iheanacho.
Obagoal, the last of the Eagles invitees to report to camp, retired
from the senior national team two years ago, but was recalled back to
the folds by Coach Sunday Oliseh.
On his part, Manchester City wonder kid, Kelechi Iheanacho, had vowed to lift up the Eagles in the battle of Lobamba.
Iheanacho, whose exploits with Man City in the English Premier League
and Capital One Cup earned him a late call up to camp, expressed
delight over the invitation extended to him.
“This opportunity to play for the senior national team , means a lot
to me. This is a higher level of football and I have to be at my best,”
Iheanacho vowed.
