EMINENT business mo­gul and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has commiser­ated with the wife of the first civilian governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyesei­gha, Margaret, over her husband’s death

In a statement signed by his media team, Kalu said: “I was shocked when I heard the news of the passing of my former colleague, DSP Diepreye Alamieyeseigha (retd). He was a politician who cared for the well-being of his people, especially the Ijaw nation. He was gentle and easy-going. Our prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones at this period of grief.”
The former governor, while urging the de­ceased’s family to take heart, prayed God to grant the family the for­titude to bear the painful loss.
