Expdonaloaded News; Shake up in Navy

THE Nigerian Navy has announced the appointment of five new Flag Officers Commanding (FOCs) to man its five Commands across the country. According to a statement by the Naval Headquar­ters in Abuja,the new appointments were among 61 redeployments approved by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas.
The appointments affected 28 Rear Admirals and 33 Commodores. The new FOCs include Rear Admirals Raphael Osondu (Western Naval Command), A .A Osinowo (Naval Training Command), A O Suleiman (Cen­tral Naval Command, Yenagoa), Emmanuel Ofik (Logistics Command) and A.S Abdulkadir (Eastern Naval Command). The statement signed by Navy spokesman, Com­modore Kabiru Aliyu, also listed Rear Admiral S.U Chinweuba, formerly Admiral Superintendent Na­val Dockyard, Lagos, as the new Chief of Naval Engineering, Naval Headquarters; while Rear Ad­miral Peter Agba, formerly Chief of Logistics, be­comes Chief of Naval Transformation. Similarly, Rear Admiral J.A Ajani has been moved from Defence Headquarters to Naval Doc­trine and Assessment Centre as Admiral Superinten­dent, while Rear Admiral Samuel Alade, formerly Chief of Naval Transformation, moves to the Na­tional Defence College, as Commandant.
