Chinese President, Xi Jiping, yesterday, described his country as a major subject for peace in the world. The commendation came as the country marked the 70th anniversary of the victory over Japan in the second World War. The occasion was a twin-commemoration of the end of the World War II and the aggression with Japan and the nation. As part of the celebration, the president announced that the Peoples Liberation Army, the world’s largest military, would reduce its troop by 300,000.
He said their victory over Japanese aggression remained the first complete victory won by China in its resistance against foreign aggression in modern times. A copy of Jiping’s address to the nation was made exclusively available to Expdonaloaded blog during a courtesy visit to the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria in Abuja, Gu Xiaojie. In his interaction with Expdonaloaded blog team led by the Editor, Nation’s Capital, Ikenna Emewu, the ambassador, who thanked the media organization for a warm relationship and promised better cooperation, said the nation’s, “triumph restored her as a major country in the world and won the Chinese respect of all peace loving people around the world.” The envoy lauded the great diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and China, adding that The Sun would be a viable partner as the embassy celebrates a national event and 10 years of effective diplomatic relationship with Nigeria later this month.
