Investigation showed that the peace mission embarked upon by the Lalong led administration to resolve the issues has yielded no result as the killings were still going on the routes to the village while meetings were going on in Jos, Plateau State Capital
In a position paper signed by the community’s traditional leader of the Hausa community I Bisichi, Sarki Ibrahim Isa and the Imam of the community, Mal. Hussaini Muhammad Abubakar the Hausa community said government and security agents should protect them from what they described as “Berom marauding expansionist” whom they claimed had been ambushing and killing their people as well as attempting to invade their community.
They claimed that the recent attacks was not unconnected with the 2015 general election when the Beroms around Bisichi threatened them not to vote for the party of their choice but for Senator Gyang Pwajok and the PDP.
They expressed the fear that they would be sacked from their community like other Hausa communities in places like Kasa, Farin Kasa, Kuru Jenta and Dorawan Babuje unless a permanent security unit is stationed at all roads leading to Bisichi.
In the same vein, the Beroms under the aegis of Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM) has also appealed to the Federal Government to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators of the killings in the area to serve as deterrence to others.
It accused the Fulani herdsmen of attacking and killing travelers using the road that run across the village including ten occupants of a bus.
