Today at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, The Mayor of Port Harcourt cum ALGON Chairman, Hon Chimbiko Akarolo, declared that the 22 Newly elected Chairmen of Local Government Areas of Rivers state, have lost confidence in the ability of Justice Lambo Akanbi to deliver justice in the case involving the Local Government Chairmen, RSIEC and the Rivers State Government.

The Chairmen under the Auspices of ALGON expressed their dissatisfaction with the manner the Judge was handling the case, stating that the same Judge had earlier in May last month declared that he could not hear the said case as it was pending before an Appellate Court. The rather too sudden U- turn by the same Judge to now hear and attempt to pass judgement on the same case he adjourned sine die, was questionable and smacks of compromise on the part of the Judge.

They went ahead to state that the sudden U-turn by Justice Akanbi to Hear the case pending before an Appellate court, was a desecration of the court and a breach of court proceedings.
The Chairmen have also stated that they have petitioned the National Judcial Commission {NJC}, the National Assemby, the Nigerian Police Force, and the President Buhari led Federal Government, calling on them to act now and help prevent the looming miscarriage of Justice and the diminishing of the Judicial system in Rivers State.
They added that according to a reliable source, there is a ploy by Justice Akanbi and the state Government Counsel to reconvene abruptly and announce Judgement, Hence, the decision of APC Faithfuls to Occupy the court premises sine die. According to them, the source also confirmed that a huge sum of money have changed hands in other to thwart the cause of justice.
