Expdonaloaded News;Obasanjo, Buhari, others attend Jonathan’s last Council of State meeting

The National Council of State meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan had all former heads of state in attendance at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who was the only former head of state absent at the beginning of the meeting at 11.30 a.m, later joined the meeting.
Other former  heads of state at the meeting were Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari; Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, Chief Ernest Shonekan and General Abdusalami Abubakar.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com..Former Chief Justices of Nigeria present included Muhammadu Lawal Uwais, Alfa Belgore and Idris  Kutigi.
Vice President Namadi Sambo; Senate President, David Mark; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim; National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed and Attorney General of the Federation ( AGF), Mohammed Adoke were also at the meeting..State governors in attendance included Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), James Ngilari (Adamawa), Tanko Almakura (Nasarawa), Gabriel Suswam (Benue).
Others were Martin Elechi (Ebonyi), Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Jonah Jang (Plateau) Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Emmanuel Uduaghan and the Acting Governor of Taraba State.
States that were represented by their Deputy governors include Kano, Kogi, Oyo, and Yobe.
The Senate President, David Mark, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki and the Chief of Staff to the President, Jones Arogbofa, were also at the meeting.
Opening Christian and Muslim prayers were said by the governors of Cross Rivers and Kaduna, respectively.
