One of his aides, identified as Mbanefo was killed while the other named Barrister Chuman was abducted.
A top security source disclosed to Expdonaloaded blog that the incident occurred on Wednesday and ransom of about N10 million was paid the next day before Chuma was released.

The source said the personnel of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) have arrested the kidnappers, with their loot at a hotel in Mararaba, another densely populated area in Nasarawa State not far from Abuja city centre.

Update: Ifeanyi Ubah media aides have released a statement denying this reports. Read below...
Fake News about Ifeanyi Ubah Assasination is not true.
Just early this morning, news of an assassination attempt on the life of the founder of Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi was all over social media and we have reason to debunk this as it is not true but a figment of the imagination of mischief makers. They even reported that one of his aides was killed in the assassination attempt.

Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah is hale and hearty. He was in Taraba just yesterday as he went to watch his football club, Ifeanyi Ubah FC. He is in high spirit and enjoying himself. He was even interviewed by the AIT crew on ground at the stadium.

The story is not true and should be disregarded. I spoke with him just now and he has asked me to make these clarifications. Thank you.
