Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday shortly after the resignation of the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, the former aviation minister said he had been vindicated by Mu`azu`s resignation.
He also insisted on total overhaul of the party with the resignation of other members of the NWC to enable the party regain its former glory.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com..He said: “I am glad that about seven hours after I said somebody should resign, somebody listened and stepped down. Every single one of them should go.“In a sane clime, party members should be able to criticise their colleagues when they go wrong.
“Did they ask for Governor Ayo Fayose to be disciplined? Did they query Governor Babangida Aliyu and Governor Sule Lamido?”According to him, these persons had at different occasions called for the resignation of the PDP NWC members but they were not reprimanded. He wondered why they wanted him reprimanded. He said as a citizen, he had the right to freely express himself, adding that he would never be cowed or intimidated by the threats from the NWC.
National Secretary of PDP, Prof. Wale Oladipo, had announced Mu`azu`s resignation to newsmen at the end of party’s 399th NWC meeting.
