Expdonaloaded News; PDP South-East caucus demands NWC’s sack

A group, the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Renaissance Group in the South-East  has called for the dissolution of the entire National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
In a communique issued at the end of its  meeting in Enugu, the group declared its total support for the on-going reorganisation designed to rebrand, reposition and re energise the party.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Chyna Iwuanyanwu, the group welcomed the resignation of the erstwhile national chairman of the party, Adamu Mu’azu but  frowned on the continued stay in office of other members of the party’s national leadership.Describing the resignation of Adamu Mu’azu and Tony Anenih as national chairman of the party and chairman Board of Trustees  as necessary, long overdue and healthy, the group  insisted that what was expected was an unconditional resignation of all members of the NWC as a mark of honour, integrity, and dignity.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com..It noted  that what the party needed  now was a total break from the immediate past and a total dismantling of what it called  the cabals and despots that had held the party hostage over the years.“It is time to inject fresh ideas into the party. An old wine in a new bottle will only be as sour as a new bottle with an old wine,” the group said.
The PDP Renaissance group also insisted on a total reconstitution of the Board of Trustees with “men and women of honour, integrity, genuine patriots with necessary credentials to rekindle the patriotic vision of the founding fathers of PDP.”It further claimed  that  so many members of BoT have “credibility and integrity baggage and have no business in the highest organ of the party, which is the conscience of the party.”
The group emphasised that what happened in the 2015 general elections had shown that there could never be any armour against the will of the people.
“The wrong choice and wrong process provoked the wrath of the people and the PDP became a democratic party without the “People,” it said.
The group also called for a total review of the PDP manifesto and constitution to establish a clearly defined ideological direction for the party.
