Fayose in his remarks to journalists at the end of the meeting said: “We have met in the interest of our dear state, Ekiti, which is bigger than the interest of any individual or party. We are here for peace to reign in our state.”“We are here to find solution to the problem in Ekiti State. The meeting was between the executive and the legislature and we had deliberated on nothing but the interest of Ekiti State.”When Omirin was asked to make his own statement he said: “the governor has spoken and he has spoken very well.”The meeting, which was said to be a continuation of the peace move in the state, however, suggested that the APC lawmakers might have bowed to the governor’s wish. With the present development, the impeachment move against Governor Fayose might have been swayed. At the meeting were the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Orisalade, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Dipo Anisulowo and some other members of the state executive council. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. John James and the state Director of State Security Service (SSS) also attended the meeting.
