South East APC commends Okorocha, Imo people

South East chap­ter of All Pro­gressives Con­gress (APC) has hailed the people of Imo State for voting Governor Rochas Okorocha again as governor.
The South East spokes­man of the party, Mr. Os­ita Okechukwu, said Imo people’s vote for Okoro­cha was a worthy reward, which demonstrates the maxim that election is a referendum on the perfor­mance of the incumbent.

He stated that by Okoro­cha’s victory, Imo State had enlisted the South East in the hall of fame of Pro­gressives Governors Fo­rum.
“We had appealed to the good people of Imo State to re-elect Governor Rochas Okorocha, the candidate of our great party, which they graciously heeded.
“We had urged the good people of Imo State to com­plete the good works they have started, for a vote for Owelle Rochas Okorocha is a golden vote to retain the only egg Ndigbo have in the basket of the new Nigeria General Muham­madu Buhari (GMB) is constructing; we are happy with Imo State people,” Okechukwu said.
He noted that the South East is now guaranteed a place in the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), pointing out that it could have been a poor outing for the zone as all the geo-po­litical zones including the South South had a member governor in the PGF.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com
“He congratulated Ow­elle Rochas Okorocha on his well-deserved victory and urged him to continue his pro-people programme which endeared him to the people, adding: “We reason that free education and oth­er pro-people programmes are the political capital upon which the people voted overwhelmingly for him.
The South East APC spokesman commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting free, fair and transparent election, saying that the commission’s vigilance was confirmed by the arrest of hoodlums in Oru East Local Government Area, “who wanted to mangle the election.”
