Akwa Ibom group disowns Etiebet

Etiebet n akpabioThe elders of Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, under the auspices of Oruk Anam Leadership Forum, a socio-political organisation, have dissociated themselves from the unfaithful, unpatriotic and anti-party activities of Chief Don Etiebet, a supposed chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a release signed by eminent members of the area, and made available to expdonaloaded news, the leaders, who decried, “the unfortunate display of tantrums and unguarded utterances by Atuekong Don Etiebet”, extolled the courage and visionary leadership of Governor Godswill Akpabio in the face of unnecessary opposition.
The leaders regretted that at a time when the counsel and moral support would have mattered most, an elder like Chief Etiebet “chose to dance in the market square.”
They however, expressed happiness that in spite of the opposition from people like Atuekong Etiebet, Akwa Ibom people stood firm in support of Governor Akpabio, by voting massively and ensuring victories for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party during the March 28 and April 11 general elections...expdonaloaded.blogspot.com
Congratulating Chief Akpabio on his victory as the Senator-elect for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, the leaders identified with the purposeful leadership of the governor in Akwa Ibom State, noting, “ for the eight years you have steered the ship safely to the coast by ensuring that the PDP won almost all the elective offices in the just concluded elections.”
The Forum, which acknowledged that through the focused leadership and unwavering commitment of Governor Akpabio to justice, fairness and goodwill, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, an in-law in Oruk Anam, has become the governor-elect of the state, assured him of total and unflinching support as he becomes the voice of Akwa Ibom people at the hallowed chamber of the Senate.
