Passenger dies inside luxury bus

Tragedy hit Abia State at the weekend when a young man identified as Edward Kenneth Okechi suddenly collapsed and died inside a commercial luxury bus in Aba. This is even as a woman died in her house while asleep in Ukwa West Local Government Area.

Okechi was said to have boarded the bus be­longing to one of the major commercial transport companies when the incident happened.
The deceased was hale and hearty when he left home on the fateful day, but Okechi who was re­ported not to have complained of any sickness, as the bus was entering into Aba, suddenly relapsed in his seat and died.
When the driver discovered what happened, he drove straight to Aba Central Police Station (CPS) to report the matter and upon a search on the deceased, a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) bearing the name, Edward Kenneth Okechi, was found on him.
His body had been deposited in the morgue, while efforts were on-going to reach his family.
Meanwhile, inhabitants of Imo River in Ukwa West Local Government Area were mourn­ing following the mysterious death of Mrs. Glory Okoroafor.
The cause of the death of the woman who hails from Arochukwu Local Government Area, could not be ascertained as she was said to have died while asleep inside her house. Her corpse had also been deposited in an undisclosed morgue.
