2 Boko Haram members killed in Kano

boko-haram-nigeriaTwo suspected members of Boko Haram have been killed in Kano State during a failed at­tack on a police station lo­cated inside Kibiya town in Kibiya Local Govern­ment Area of the state.


It was gathered that while one of the suspects was killed during the gun duel between them and the police, the other insurgent was lynched by na­tives, while he tried to escape.

Also, two other suspects, who were part of the foiled at­tack, have been arrested by the police and taken into custody.
Police Public Relations Of­ficer, in the state, Assistant Su­perintendent of Police, Magaji Majiya, confirmed to Daily Sun that the attack on the po­lice station happened at about 5p.m. on Saturday, adding that the suspects drove to the sta­tion on their motorbikes.
According to him, unspeci­fied number of insurgents had attacked the station but the policemen on duty responded gallantly and repelled the at­tack.
He revealed that some of the escaped gunmen aban­doned their motorcycles but assured that the police would surely get them.
He said no policeman suf­fered any injury during the gun battle.
Magaji implored the mem­bers of the public to be ever vigilant and make timely re­port of any suspicious move­ment in their immediate sur­roundings to the police or other security agencies. He thanked the people of the state for their support to the police.
