When one million worshippers invaded Mgbidi

Lazarus MuokaIt was the beginning of the year, and Mgbidi, a community in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, was once again besieged by hundreds of thousands of worshippers.

For three days, over one million Christian faithful from different countries gathered in the town for Annual International Crusade organized by The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (LCCRM). The event, which started on Saturday, January 3 and ended on Monday, January 5, had the theme: God will make you to rejoice. In their numbers, they came from the United States, Australia, Congo, Ireland, Ukraine, Egypt, Thailand, Ghana, Korea, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, South Korea and other parts of the world. They were on ground to give the event a colourful and interesting outlook. Each of the foreign contingents showcased their spiritual gifts through praises and worship.
Mgbidi, the host community, witnessed an unimaginable vehicular and human traffic. Business activities boomed, as members of the community and those in neighbouring towns and villages sold various items to the visitors and smiled home with good money. Landlords and other property owners also used the opportunity to make quick money from their property, which they rented out to food vendors and other businessmen and women. Due to high demand for accommodation, some landlords temporarily vacated their apartments and rented them out to the visitors. Vehicle owners, who could not secure parking spaces within the crusade ground, ended up paying between the sum of N300.00 and N500.00 daily to some landlords for using their private premises.
At the programme, the worshippers, both the old and the young, showed a lot of determination and commitment to serve God. They defied the harsh and cold weather and stood at the open ground for worship. Miracles and deliverances were free for all. The sick and the afflicted were prayed for and they received instant miracles. The lame walked, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, the sick regained sound health and those with different afflictions were set free through the divine prayers and words from the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Pastor Lazarus Muoka. Interestingly, testimonies flowed from all corners, as recipients of the miracles did not hesitate to climb the pulpit to testify about the immediate miracles that God used Pastor Muoka to perform in their lives.
Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha and some members of his cabinet were present on the second day of the programme. Those who accompanied him included his Chaplain, Rev Dr. Bunmi Babs; Commissioner for Housing, Urban Development and City Beautification, Hon Alaibe, who is also the Director General of Rochas Campaign and a member of The Lord’s Chosen; Special Adviser on Special Duties, Rev Jessy Ayozie; Deputy Chaplain, Pastor Ralph Afoaku and Commissioner for Lands, Hon Uche Nwosu.
General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka was fully equi spiritually. He prayed that those who had cases of failed liver, kidney, damaged immune system, cancer, fibroid, tumour, stroke, barrenness, delay in marriage and conception, eye problems financial stagnancy and other ailments and conditions would surely rejoice.
Muoka also prayed against disappointment and calamity in Nigeria and all over the world.
The man of God advised that if the Federal Government could hand over the security of this country to members of The Lord’s Chosen, insecurity would stop.
“The Chosen people are dangerous to dangers. The danger on the road is The Chosen people and not armed robbers because they are afraid of us due to the power of God in every member of The Chosen. So, I think if we are asked to handle the security of this nation, crimes, especially robbery will reduce drastically,” he said.
Muoka prayed that God would grant Okorocha sound health, long life, salvation, more blessings and the goodwill to serve the people of Imo State. “We are glad to receive you and your entourage at this crusade ground. And I pray that God would grant all your desires and give you the grace to serve humanity,” he prayed.
The congregation also prayed for the General Overseer, asking God to preserve and strengthen him to continue to deliver the afflicted from their bondages through the power of God. They also prayed for Okorocha and his team to remain focussed and people-oriented.
Governor Okorocha applauded the crusade and described it as the best of its kind in his state and across the country. According to him, the crusade was a pride to Imo State as it gave people of the state and beyond the opportunity to serve God and pray for salvation and deliverance.
The governor, who breezed into the crusade ground with some members of his cabinet at about 2:35pm on Sunday, described Pastor Muoka as a true servant of God that was being used to touch the lives of the people.
His words: “I am happy that Pastor Muoka is making a good impact in the state. This is my blessed pastor in whom I am well pleased. In fact, you are really a true son and a pride to Imo State. It is obvious that over a million people I am seeing here today cannot be fanatic. We have heard what God is using you to do around the globe. It is quite impressive being here and seeing and hearing the testimonies of many people. So, for us in Imo State, we are proud of the word of God that comes out of Pastor Muoka.”
Having been moved by the fascinating nature of the event, Okorocha sang some songs in Igbo to the admiration of the worshippers.
He also expressed that since the people were determined to serve God, things would improve in their lives, the state and in the entire nation. “I am happy that we are serving a living God. And there is no doubt that 2015 shall be better than 2014. This is a year of more victory. For that reason, God will be glorified,” he said.
Commissioner for Lands in Imo State, Hon Uche Nwosu also described Muoka as a blessing to Imo State, to Nigeria and to the world.
Nwosu, who is also the Deputy Director of Rochas Campaign Organisation, expressed satisfaction on the activities of members of The Lord’s Chosen, especially their commitments in serving God. “My coming here has changed my perception about Pastor Muoka and The Lord’s Chosen. He is really a man of God. So, people should try to use the ample opportunity that The Lord’s Chosen has given to them.”
