Senator Chris Ngige continued his campaign for re-election as the
senator representing Anambra Central District, just as he commissioned
various projects he executed within the zone. Everywhere he visited,
Senator Ngige was received by a large crowd of supporters and All
Progressives Congress (APC) faithful, who pledged to vote for his
return to the Senate.
At Nimo, in Njikoka Local Government Area, Senator Ngige commissioned five transformers and donated one trailer load of cement to enable the community complete its town hall. Addressing a large crowd of supporters who gathered at Chime Hall, he said the transformers were purchased and installed to boost power transmission in the community.
The Senator said he awarded scholarship to 103 students in Nimo community, and assured that more students would soon join the beneficiaries, as forms were already out to admit more students in the scheme.
He explained that the scholarship scheme was part of his effort to eradicate illiteracy and promote education in the senatorial district.
Responding, the President General of Nimo Town Union, Chief Tony Igboka commended Senator Ngige for providing amenities for the people. He assured the Senator of the total support of the people of Nimo in his ambition to return to the Senate.
“We do not have double mind about our votes coming to you en-block, because we are fully satisfied with your performance, both on the floor of the Senate and in the provision of constituency projects.
At Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area, Senator Ngige commissioned five transformers and assured the people that more students would soon join the 103 students already enjoying his scholarship from the community. He advised students interested in the scholarship to collect and complete the forms as part of the process to obtain the scholarship.
The Senator also visited Abba community where he commissioned four transformers. Earlier, Ngige visited Umuoji in Idemili North Local Government Area, his hometown, Alor where he commissioned many constituency projects and made promises to improve their lives.
