God is interested in Nigeria’s affairs, says cleric

pastor ogundare“The year 2015 will be crucial and historical in the country because God said he’s interested in the affairs of this country. By His grace, there will be changes in the affairs of this country.
The first quarter of next year will be critical socially, economically and politically. After that, the country will rise in glory. Whatever problems we are facing now as a nation will not last. The country will begin to experience changes.”

These were the words of Pastor John Abiodun Ogundare, General Superintendent of Christ Redemption Bible Church, Lagos.
The cleric spoke recently at an interactive session with journalists on this year’s Victory at Last Congress of the church. The event, which started on Monday, December 14, will be rounded off on Sunday. It holds at the church headquarters on Christ Redemption Avenue, Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos
He said 2015 would be victorious, especially for the godly. Hear him: “I see this battle of Boko Haram being won, with God helping us as a nation. But I have said this and I will repeat it here: we can only achieve victory if the whole nation declares three days of fasting – serious and sincere fasting. We should call upon the most high God and I believe all these security challenges will be a thing of the past.”
He lamented also that all efforts to curb the spate of insecurity in the country were fruitless, adding that the challenges created by Boko Haram were more spiritual. He said God was willing more than before to take control of the whole situation in the country if Nigerians would allow God. Pastor Ogundare noted also that the church was not to blame for Nigeria’s woes, asserting that the church had always played prominent roles in nation building.
The CRBC General Superintendent advised President Goodluck Jonathan to stand by his promise of allowing a free and fair election.
His words: “The coming election should be transparent. He should use it to set a record. He should not allow anyone to advise him to rig the election, so that history will not judge him harshly.”
Pastor Ogundare spoke on the electoral umpire, noting that the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega should be impartial. He charged all members of the opposition parties to watch their utterances, adding that God had warned everybody that would be involved in the 2015 general election not to involve themselves in rigging. “God will not spare anyone that rigs,” he said.
Giving an insight into the annual programme, Ogundare said the Victory At Last Congress was a vision handed over to him by God ten years ago, adding that it is a covenant between God and the ministry. The programme, he said, is held to round off the activities of the ministry for the year.
The cleric explained that the theme for this year’s congress is Strength for the next level, he said.
Hear him: “Each year, God reveals to us through our Victory at Last Congress, the secret of how best to start the new year. So at this year’s programme, God told us that the New Year would be at the next level for the ministry and that he would give us the strength to move to the next level.” He affirmed also that the 2014 congress would help participants to attain a new glory, honour and progress in all their endeavours. He noted that the country would be the better for it.
The programme, he noted, would hold in the evening between Monday and Friday, while the Saturday and Sunday programmes would kick off by 6am. Other ministers that would be at the event include Pastor Bamigbeyan from the New Testament Assembly, Prophet James Akanbi, Pastor Aanu Ojo, Pastor Tunji Oladapo and other ministers from the church. They would deliver messages of salvation, healing, prosperity, sanctification and deliverance, he informed.
“God is really interested in the affairs of this country, and things shall turn around to favour us as we march into the New Year,” said the man of God.
