A total of 52 female suicide bombers are reportedly on the loose in Maiduguri, Borno State.
ThisDay reports that the information was revealed by a member of a youth vigilante group.
The bombers are said to have been “commissioned to explode bombs at high density areas.”
Also, the source revealed that the
vigilante group had made it difficult for insurgents to sneak into town
due to frequent searches of vehicles and individuals arriving in the
town. As a result, the terrorists have devised a new scheme to
infiltrate the town – through female suicide bombers.
You will recall that last week, two female suicide bombers attacked a market in Maiduguri, killing over 35 people. And on Monday, another pair of female suicide bombers attacked Maiduguri Monday market, killing 6, and leaving 36 injured.
