The popular Effurun Market and some buildings had their roofs blown off.At Marine Quarters, which is prone to flooding, dangerous reptiles invaded houses and caused pandemonium.post by expdonaloaded.blogspot.com....A middle-aged man, who did not know he had been living with a snake for two days, was bitten. He was rushed to a nearby clinic for treatment. Also, in Sapele, major areas, including Yoruba, Okpe and Ogorode roads as well as adjoining streets were completely flooded. Several buildings were also submerged.A resident, Pa Oghenejabopr Okiemute, described the downpour in the “Boma city” of Sapele as the worst in recent times.
“Almost a year ago, Delta State Government came to Sapele to clear the debris but they did not do a proper job. Sadly we are suffering it now,” the octogenarian regretted.
